Two of the undergraduates that work in the lab, Emily Chen and Brianna Duhart, made videos to show their daily life on campus and what it means to be a student at the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University.
Emily Chen is a junior majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She has been working in the lab for a year studying how elastin amounts affect aortic structure and mechanical function. She will be a summer researcher in the lab through the Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates Program hosted by the Center for Engineering Mechanobiology (CEMB) and sponsored by the National Science Foundation.Brianna Duhart is a sophomore majoring in Biomedical Engineering. She has been working in the lab for a year studying elastin coacervation and assembly. She will be a summer researcher in the lab through the Cardiovascular Research Summer Program (CardS) supported by the American Heart Association.
